On March 25, 2015 we had 2 charity trips to the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage.
Loc Tho provides free primary school to poor youngsters in the community, and ensures that every child brought to their doors receives an education. Through the continued generous support of Richard and Marjorie of the USA, we brought many new books to the school. There were Vietnamese fairy tales and other interesting story books that were snatched up and immediately opened by the students. Thank you Richard and Marjorie!
Loc Tho is also an orphanage, and currently cares for about 30 orphans. The charity school also offers free breakfast and lunch to the students. With so many mouths to feed, quality healthy food is sometimes sacrificed for quantity. Through the continued support of Lloyd and Esther of the USA, we brought lots of heathy food supplements for the children’s meals. We brought meat cakes, milk, condensed milk, sandwich bread, and vegetarian beef, squid, and shrimp substitutes. Thank you Lloyd and Esther!
