In September 2023 we had a very fun visit with the children at the Thien Tam Orphanage. It’s both the beginning of the school year and the Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam. We had told the caretakers at the orphanage that we would sponsor all of the education costs for the children, and we wanted to do something fun for the holidays.
Our team organized a visit, and brought new school uniforms, textbooks, and school supplies for the children’s upcoming school year. We also paid for all fees and other expenses. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, we set out lots of arts and crafts supplies to make traditional lanterns. The children had lots of fun! We also brought mooncakes and fresh fruit. It was a lovely day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
