In September 2025, we were able to provide much-needed help to the Nhan Ai Orphanage. With more than 100 children to care for, the nuns are always busy running errands to meet the orphanage’s needs.

Motorbikes are a crucial form of transportation in Vietnam, and the nuns told us that a few extra ones would make a huge difference in their daily tasks. They were also excited about the possibility of the older teens helping with errands and getting to and from school. The nuns were thrilled when we surprised them by purchasing three new motorbikes!

When the motorbikes were delivered, the nuns captured many photos of the children posing next to the bikes with huge smiles. The older teens eagerly put on their helmets and took the bikes for a spin around the courtyard, and all the children celebrated the new additions with ice cream popsicles.

This project was made possible by the generous funding of Steven Burger. Thank you!

ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE

Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home. Several times a year, the nuns at the Nhan Ai Orphanage also arrange to assist poor communities in their area.
