On August 6, 2019 we took the children of the Lac Thien Orphanage to the local market to buy new clothes for school. Located in Ninh Hoa to the north of Nha Trang, Lac Thien is a loving home to a large group of orphans. There are a number of orphan babies at Lac Thien, and the orphanage also takes in elderly whose family cannot care for them.

The school year is approaching and the nuns at Lac Thien wanted to buy the children new clothes and shoes. Our team of volunteers traveled to the orphanage and arranged for all the children to visit a local market to shop for their new clothes. Accompanied by the nuns, the children had lots of fun walking through the aisles of clothes, hats, and shoes, trying on different outfits. We bought everything the children would need for the school year, then went to a drink stall at the market for cold drinks with the children. Everyone had lots of fun!

Our team also spent time at the orphanage while some of the students were getting extra tutoring in preparation for school. This trip was sponsored by a generous group from around the world: Chris Vo, KTD Services LLC, Molly Phillips, Dane Sawmiller, and Dan, Van, and Devin Haynes.

Thank you!!!
