In November 2021 we brought new bicycles and other general supplies to the Phu Quang Orphanage. We had contacted the nuns ahead of time and asked what items the orphanage was in need of. In addition to essential foodstuff, they requested 2 bicycles for the children.

Our team organized the visit and drove out to the orphanage. The children helped carry the supplies inside, but were mostly excited to test out the new bicycles. They had so much fun riding around the common room and the courtyard!

For the supplies, we brought bags of rice, boxes of noodle soup, bottles of vegetable oil, packages of fresh milk, powdered milk, and fresh vegetables.

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Philip Doughty, Elaine Nguyen, Vanessa Nguyen, Daniel Cole, Minh Nguyen, and Linh Lam. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE

The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for about 15 children in a loving environment.
