In early June 2018 we had two fun visits at the Khanh Son Charity Home & School. Located in the mountainous area to the southwest of Nha Trang, the Khanh Son Charity Home & School is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Some of the children stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The nuns provide a nurturing environment for all, ensure the children attend local public schools, and offer free daycare, kindergarten, and after school tutoring lessons.
To celebrate the end of the school year, we threw a party for all the children. Everyone gathered for food and drink to celebrate a successful academic year. We also bought new cots for the younger children’s nap time. Previously, the children lay on thatch mats on the floor. With the new cots, they can nap in comfort. When the beds were unpacked, the little ones were eager to help set them up in the nap room, and everyone had lots of fun.
These charity trips were made possible through the kindhearted donations of Khang Do.
