In September 2023 we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. We had reached out to the caretakers and said that we wanted to do something special for the children during this fun holiday. In addition to bringing food and general supplies for the month, we made preparations for a fun day.
When we arrived, our team of volunteers brought all the food and supplies into the main common room, and the children came out to greet our team. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, toiletries, racks of eggs, rice crackers, sausages, household supplies, and arts and crafts supplies.
Next, we sat down for lunch with the children. After lunch, everyone came out to some tables we had set up in the courtyard for some Mid-Autumn Festival fun. We handed out traditional lanterns to all the children plus yummy mooncakes. Finally, we brought out birthday cake and presents for all the children. It was such a fun day!

ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
