In August 2023 we arranged to have lots of general supplies delivered to the Phu Quang Orphanage. We had contacted the orphanage caretakers about their needs this month, and they had a detailed list of food and school supplies. We worked with local markets and arranged to have it all delivered straight to the orphanage.

When all the good arrived, the children were excellent helpers and carried everything inside. This month, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen noodles, packages of milk, bottles of cooking oil, and school supplies.

The caretakers had taken many fun pictures of the children over the past few weeks, and were kind of enough to share many with us. So many smiling faces!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from William Viray, Koshu Takatsuji, Daniel Cole, Tuan Nguyen, Nicholas Costello, and Dan, Van, and Devin Haynes. Thank you!!!

The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment. Sister Thich Nu Dieu An passed away in 2023, and the orphanage is now run by the nuns of the Phu Quang pagoda.
