In October 2023 we had a fun visit with the children at Thua Sai. We had reached out to the caretakers and asked what provisions we could bring for the month. They gave us a detailed list of food and general supplies, and our team of volunteers leapt into action.
We bought everything on the shopping list at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove south into Cam Ranh to see the children. The supplies included pork, chicken, fish, shrimp, rice, cooking oil, fresh noodles, packages of pho noodles, varieties of flavored milk, sugar, kitchen baskets, floor soap, and for the children to play, practice black boards and modeling clay.
When we arrived, everyone was in the courtyard playing a fun new game on artificial grass. The goal of the game was to bowl plastic balls towards targets, and all the children were having fun. Our lead coordinator Mai Khanh had to give it a try!
After the children gathered in the main common room, our team prepared bubble tea drinks as a fun snack. It was a lovely visit!

ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
