In September 2023 we had a lovely visit with the children at the Ngoc Van Orphanage. We had contacted the caretakers and asked what items we could bring this month to help support the orphanage. They provided us with a detailed list of food and general supplies, and our team of volunteers leapt into action. We did all the shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to see the children.
When we arrived, the little ones were excellent helpers and carried everything into the main common room. On this visit, we brought boxes of instant noodles, instant porridge, bottles of soy sauce, cheese, milk, yogurt, and cooking oil.
As a special treat, our team prepared yummy bubble tea drinks for everyone to enjoy. There were lots of smiles!

ABOUT THE NGOC VAN ORPHANAGE
Located in the northern part of Khanh Hoa province, the Ngoc Van Orphanage was founded in 2020 after a big storm hit central Vietnam. There were many deaths from the storm, and several orphans were brought to the Ngoc Van Pagoda to be cared for the monks there. Since then, the orphanage has grown and now cares for about 20 small children.
