In June 2024 we brought lots of supplies to the Thien Tam Orphanage and had a lovely visit with the children. We had coordinated with the orphanage caretakers and brought food and other items on their shopping list. When we arrived, the children came out and helped bring everything to the courtyard.
On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, soy sauce, sriracha, cooking oil, seasonings, sugar, pork, beef, mung beans, black beans, yogurt, fresh vegetables, detergent, body wash, dish soap, shampoo, and soap.
As a treat, we prepared sweet tea drinks for all the children to enjoy. While our team was visiting, we also got a chance to see the children making large sheets of mango fruit rollups. So fun!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for a small group of adolescents.
