In April 2021 we had a fun visit to the Dai An Orphanage. We had spoken to the caretakers and wrote down a detailed wish list of items the orphanage needed. Our team of volunteers did lots of shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.

Upon our arrival, the children helped carry everything inside. We brought packages of sausages, canned pork, seasonings, condensed milk, diapers, and toiletries.

The children were delighted when they saw that we also brought a big stack of comic books and illustrated stories. Suddenly, there were comic books in everyone’s hands, and the whole group of orphans had their noses in the books. It was a delightful sight! As another surprise, we brought iced sugar cane drinks for all the children.

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE

The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
