Anh Dao Orphanage

Take one of the main roads heading north out of Nha Trang, either April 2nd Street (2 Thang 4) or Pham Van Dong street. Drive for about 50 kilometers until you enter Ninh Hoa town. Follow the signs left toward “Dak Lak”, and then at a small roundabout veer left again onto Nguyen Hue Street. This later becomes Highway 26 and will take you into Ninh Phung ward. This area is known for its brick-making towers, and you’ll pass many along the 12 kilometers from Ninh Hoa town to the orphanage. You’ll see it on the left. The orphanage is fairly nondescript, so you may have to ask for its neighborhood “Tan My Ninh Xuan” along the way, as well as the orphanage, “Mai Am Anh Dao”. Nhan Ai Orphanage

The easiest route is to take Tran Phu south, and follow the signs to Diamond Bay Resort. After crossing the Binh Tan Bridge, veer right, and stay on the main road. You’ll pass the Diamond Bay Resort and Wonderpark and after topping a lovely cape you’ll see the endless stretch of white sand on Cam Ranh’s peninsula, with a cluster of tin roofed cafés at Bai Dai Beach. Stay on the main road all the way past the Cam Ranh Airport. The road narrows and eventually leads you to the large Long Ho Bridge. Carry on over the bridge and you’ll link up with Highway 1A. Turn left towards Cam Ranh town. As you enter the modern downtown area, turn right at the sign for “Duong Tinh Lo 9” which is highway 9. It’s exactly 6 km from when you turn onto Highway 9 to the orphanage. Keep an eye out for a big blue sign reading “Long Van Hon Thong Nhat” over a left turn. This will take you to Phu Nhon Church, and around back the Mai Am Nhan Ai Orphanage.

Kim Son Charity School

Take April 2nd Street (2 Thang 4) north out of Nha Trang, which will take you over Ru Ri pass. Not far after decsending the pass you’ll see a sign on the left for “Chua Kim Son”. Follow the road past the pagoda and you’ll see a big blue sign for the school, “Loc Tinh Thuong Kim Son”.

Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage

Take October 23rd Street (23 Thang 10) out of Nha Trang, and at about 1 km past the Long Son Pagoda you’ll come to a traffic signal. Turn right onto D Huong Lo 45. You’ll glide past the Ngoc Hiep Market and come to a set of train tracks at the base of Ganh Hill and a large sign leading up to the Kim Son Pagoda. A hundred meters past the train tracks is a small sign for “Chua Loc Tho” at D Xom Chieu. Follow the little road until you see the large Buddhist compound.

Lac Thien Orphanage

Take one of the main roads heading north out of Nha Trang, either 2 Thang 4 street or Pham Van Dong street. Drive for about 50 kilometers until you enter Ninh Hoa town. Stay on the main road heading north, and after you exit the town you’ll pass a turnoff for the Hyundai Vinashin shipyard. Right after the Hyundai turnoff is another road branching right, which will take you to Ninh Tho ward. From here just ask for “Chua Phat Buu” and you’ll be there in no time.

Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children

The easiest route is to take D Tran Phu south, and follow the signs to Diamond Bay Resort. After crossing the Binh Tan Bridge, veer right, and stay on the main road. You’ll pass the Diamond Bay Resort and Wonderpark and after topping a lovely cape you’ll see the endless stretch of white sand on Cam Ranh’s peninsula, with a cluster of tin roofed cafés at Bai Dai Beach. Keep heading on the road towards the airport and you’ll eventually see a large sign for “Cam Hai Dong” pointing right. This takes you to a bridge connecting the mainland with the peninsula. There is a major road being finished, though you might have a slight detour through some mango orchards. Stay on the road and it will link up with Highway 1A. Turn left, and as you enter the small town of Cam Duc In Cam Phuc Bac you’ll see a blue sign on the right for “Giao Xu Hoa Yen”. Behind the church in a separate compound is the home for children.

Thien Tam Orphanage

The easiest route is to take Tran Phu south, and follow the signs to Diamond Bay Resort. After crossing the Binh Tan Bridge, veer right, and stay on the main road. The orphanage is in the community at a large roundabout. Ask for directions to “Mai Am Thien Tam”, and you’ll be there in no time.
