In December 2019 we arranged for a doctor and a nurse to come out to the Khanh Son Charity Home and give the children check-ups. The nuns at Khanh Son are committed to the health and well-being of the children in this poor community, and we were happy to contribute to this effort. The doctor and nurse were very kind and patient with the children, and everyone gathered around and took turns getting their check-ups.
We also brought lots of new blankets for the Home. Many of the children sleep in dormitories on bunk beds, and as the Khanh Son region is at a higher elevation, it can get chilly at night in winter. The children were excited to unroll their new blankets to keep them warm at night.

ABOUT THE KHANH SON CHARITY HOME
Located in the mountainous area to the southwest of Nha Trang, the Khanh Son Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Some of the children stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The nuns provide a nurturing environment for all, ensure the children attend local public schools, and offer free daycare, kindergarten, and after-school tutoring lessons.
