In mid-December 2020 we had a fun Christmas visit with the children at the Thien Tam Orphanage. We worked with the caretakers and made a detailed list of the orphanage’s current needs. Our team shopped at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.
The children helped carry and stack everything in the courtyard. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, black beans, sweet rice, mung beans, peanuts, fresh vegetables, varieties of mushrooms, pork, fish, bottles of cooking oil, cans of sardines, packages of instant porridge, packages of instant pho, bottles of fish sauce, bottles of soy sauce, and cleaning products.
The children then gave our volunteers a lovely performance of songs and dances they had learned in school. We finished the visit with yummy pate treats and che drinks for the children.
This special holiday visit to the orphanage was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Trung Ngo, Elaine Nguyen, Duc Buckius, and Daniel Cole. Thank you!!!
