In December 2021 we had a fun Christmas party at the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. It had been a tough year for the children, as COVID restrictions kept the Home closed for many months. We wanted to have an end-of-year party for everyone.
First, we coordinated with the caretakers and brought lots of essential supplies for the Home. This included boxes of instant noodles, milk, cooking oil, white noodles, macaroni noodles, sticky rice, floor soap, dish soap, and a brand new air fryer.
One of our volunteers dressed as Santa, and handed out big helium balloons to the children. They danced, sang songs, and had lots of fun. The children put on their own Santa hats and everyone got snacks!
At the end of the visit, our team joined the children for a big lunch. Such a wonderful day!
This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Nancy Phung, an anonymous donor in the USA, and a family in the USA. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
