In December 2020 we had a fun Christmas party with the children at the Sunflower Orphanage. We wanted to do something special for these wonderful children and coordinated with the orphanage’s caretakers for this holiday visit. We brought lots of essential supplies and foodstuff, plus some surprises for the orphans.
The children helped carry everything into the common room and stacked the supplies next to their Christmas tree. On this visit, we brough boxes of ramen, packages of instant pho, peanuts, mung beans, baby formula, diapers, dish soap, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and new flip flops.
Our volunteers then handed out wrapped Christmas presents to all the children. There were balloons and Santa hats, and it took on a party atmosphere as the children opened their gifts. They were surprised to see new clothes to wear for the upcoming Lunar New Year. So fun!
This holiday charity visit was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Binh Quan and An Nguyen. Thank you!!!
