In December 2017 we brought a Christmas party to the Sunflower Orphanage. Located in the heart of Nha Trang, Sunflower cares for a large group of teenage orphans, and is the sister orphanage of Dai An, which cares for younger children in the countryside. We contacted the caregivers at the orphanage to learn of their immediate needs, and asked what we should bring the children for Christmas presents. Our team loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage for a fun holiday party.
The children helped us bring in the general supplies for the orphanage, which included laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, umbrellas, boxes of instant noodles, bags of dried seafood, and bags of beans. Many of the children put on Santa hats, and one of the children put on a Santa outfit and helped our team hand out presents to all the children. After opening their presents, many immediately tried on their new clothes.
