In May 2026, our volunteer team returned to the Ngoc Van Orphanage for another deeply moving community visit and supply delivery. For us, these visits are about more than just dropping off boxes; they are about connection, care, and continuous support.

Meeting Immediate Needs

By coordinating directly with the orphanage caretakers beforehand, we made sure every single donation met an immediate, practical need. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we were able to fill a van to the brim with essentials sourced from local markets, including:

  • Nutritional Essentials: Canned meats, canned pate, milk, yogurt, soy milk, baby formula, powdered milk, and pantry seasonings.
  • Hygiene & Cleaning Supplies: Dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, and body soap to help maintain a clean, healthy environment for the kids.

A Sweet Treat and Simple Joys

Beyond providing material support, our mission is always to bring moments of pure joy to the children. This month, the team surprised everyone with ice cream popsicles! The children excitedly formed an orderly line and enjoyed their cold treats together in the common room—a simple moment that brought endless smiles.

Thank You! We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors for making this month’s trip possible: Dao Giving Fund, Vanessa Nguyen, Alysha Sims, and an anonymous donor. Your kindness directly impacts these children’s lives every single day.

ABOUT THE NGOC VAN ORPHANAGE

Located in the northern part of Khanh Hoa province, the Ngoc Van Orphanage was founded in 2020 after a big storm hit central Vietnam. There were many deaths from the storm, and several orphans were brought to the Ngoc Van Pagoda to be cared for by the monks there. Since then, the orphanage has grown and now cares for about 20 small children.
