Our latest visit to the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children was filled with gratitude, shared smiles, and crucial support. Prior to making the trip this July, we touched base directly with the home’s dedicated staff to ensure we were bringing the exact items that would make the biggest difference in the children’s daily routine and well-being.
Thanks to the wonderful backing of our donor community, we were able to check off every single item on their wish list!
What We Delivered:
- Nourishing Food & Pantry Goods: Bags of rice, packages of shrimp noodles, canned meats, fresh yogurt, rice cakes, fish sauce, cooking oil, soy sauce, and sugar.
- Health & Sanitation Supplies: Bar soap, floor cleaner, and a brand-new medical storage cabinet.
- Facility Upgrades: New sturdy shelving units for the kitchen area.
Once all the food and home supplies were safely unloaded into the courtyard, we transitioned to spending quality time together. The children cooled off with chilled popsicles and fresh fruit, followed by a lively outdoor lunch in the courtyard while our team stayed to visit and help out.
A Heartfelt Thank You
This trip was made possible through the dedicated support of an anonymous donor and a generous family in the US. Thank you for your continued compassion and for making days like this possible for the children at Hy Vong!
