Our December 2025 visit to the Loc Tho Charity School was a beautiful way to wrap up the year. As part of our ongoing commitment to these students, our team spent the morning at local markets gathering a massive haul of essentials.

We delivered a variety of kitchen staples—including rice, pork, noodles, and mushrooms—along with a new rice cooker and cleaning supplies like detergent and mops to keep the school running smoothly. Beyond the pantry, we also provided fresh school supplies to support their education.

The highlight of the trip was watching the children stream into the courtyard for a well-deserved break. We served cold, sweet drinks to everyone, turning a regular school day into a small celebration. This vital support is only possible because of our incredible donors: David and Trini Nguyen, James Tran, Vanessa Nguyen, Dao Giving Fund, Dan, Van, and Devin Haynes, an anonymous donor, and a donation in memory of Hue Hao Nguyen. Thank you for making a tangible difference in these children’s lives!

ABOUT THE LOC THO CHARITY SCHOOL

The Loc Tho Charity School, established in 1991 by Sister Thich Nu Dieu Y, has a long-standing history of providing free education to underprivileged children. Sister Dieu Y dedicated her life to this cause, and after her passing in 2014, the compassionate nuns of the Loc Tho Pagoda have continued her incredible work.

This primary school offers a vital service to the community, providing a free education for children whose families cannot afford public schooling. The school covers all expenses, including textbooks, uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and teachers’ fees, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn. Beyond academics, Loc Tho Charity School also provides breakfast and lunch for its students and offers a nurturing home for several orphans and foster children.
