In mid-October 2019 we had a fun visit with the children at the Sunflower Orphanage. The orphanage is dependent on donors for survival, and we contacted the caretakers to learn of their most pressing needs. We compiled a shopping list, went to local markets, and brought everything to the orphanage. We brought seasonings, boxes of noodles, packages of soup, bottles of cooking oil, cans of condensed milk, diapers, wipes, rain ponchos, umbrellas, and snacks.
The children helped carry the supplies into the common room and everyone enjoyed their snacks. The children then performed a dance they had learned in school for our team of volunteers. It was a lovely visit!
This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Scott Huynh, Daniel Cole, Suruchi Khemka, Molly Phillips, Susan Papuga, and Dziura Compliance Consulting to honor the memory of Tuan Duong.
Thank you!!!
