On February 1, 2016 we visited the Phu Quang Orphanage, which is a small orphanage just north of Nha Trang. On this visit, we brought lots of essential supplies, plus many fun items so that the orphans can celebrate Tet, the Vietnamese lunar new year. As the orphanage relies purely upon donations, they often cannot give the children holiday celebrations. Through the kindness of an amazing group of individuals, we brought them traditional foods, new clothes, and Tet treats so the children can ring in the new year. The essential supplies included bags of rice, boxes of noodles, diapers, and baby formula.
This trip was made possible through the kind donations of Hien Nguyen, Thao Dinh, Nhu Le, Dane Sawmiller, Khoa Nguyen, Duy Nguyen, Daniel Cole, Suruchi Khemka, and Thu Nguyen.
Thank you for helping the orphanage and bringing the new year to the children! Happy Year of the Monkey!
