In March 2022 we had a lovely visit with the children at the Sunflower Orphanage. We had gotten in touch with the orphanage caretakers to make a shopping list of items to bring. Our team bought everything locally at Nha Trang markets, loaded up a van, and drove to the orphanage.
The children met our team when they arrived and helped carry everything inside. On this visit, we brought bottles of siracha and oyster sauce, racks of eggs, bean curd, seasonings, salt, mayonnaise, butter, beans, cutlery, plates, cutting boards, napkins, wipes, masks, laundry detergent, dish soap, scouring pads, and cleaning supplies.
As a fun treat we passed out snacks and watermelon slice to all the children. Such a fun visit!

ABOUT THE SUNFLOWER ORPHANAGE
The Sunflower Orphanage first began taking in orphans in 1993 and is located in the heart of Nha Trang. There are large facilities and separate locations for middle school and high school students. Sunflower currently cares for about 35 orphans aged 10 to 18. The orphanage has a history of taking in street children and youths from troubled homes and coordinates its efforts with the Dai An Orphanage.
