Thanks to a generous donation in loving memory of Tai Diep, we were able to make a significant visit to the Song Lo Orphanage in April 2025. We consulted with the caretakers to identify their critical needs for the month, developing a detailed list of supplies. All items were purchased locally, loaded into a van, and transported to the orphanage.

We delivered a substantial amount of support, including essential food items like tofu sheets, vegan proteins, noodles, seasonings, and fresh vegetables, alongside vital general supplies and toiletries. Beyond the necessities, we also brought a special treat: an ice cream party complete with various flavors, cones, and toppings. The older children joyfully served ice cream to everyone, creating a memorable moment before the children headed out to play in the courtyard. It was a day that brought much-needed resources and happiness to the orphanage.

Learn More About the Song Lo Orphanage

The Song Lo Orphanage has a heartwarming origin story rooted in compassion. Its beginnings trace back to a Buddhist monk in the countryside who was unexpectedly entrusted with the care of two young children by a mother unable to keep them. The monk brought the babies to the Song Lo pagoda, where the head nun, Sister Cat, kindly agreed to take them in. This initial act of care led to the pagoda becoming a haven for orphaned children arriving over time.

Formally established in 2012, the Song Lo Orphanage is a small facility located adjacent to the Song Lo pagoda. Situated deep within the countryside west of Nha Trang, it provides care for a small group of young children.
