Our husband-and-wife team of Loan and Nhan work closely with the caretakers at the Thien Tam Orphanage every month to ensure they have everything the children need. This month, they took down a detailed list of items, bought everything at local markets, and made the drive out to the orphanage.
The children met our group at the driveway and carried all the provisions inside. On this charity trip, we brought bags of rice, packages of glass noodles and white noodles, seasonings, bottles of cooking oil, sugar, butter, fresh meats including chicken and pork, shrimp, bottles of soy sauce and oyster sauce, egg noodles, condensed milk, boxes of instant noodles, packages of mung beans, bags of sweet rice, fresh vegetables, shampoo, and school supplies.
As a fun treat, we handed out snacks and sugar cane drinks to all the children. It was a fun day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
