In April 2022 our team had a very fun visit at the Thien Tam Orphanage. First, we had reached out to the orphanage caretakers to learn of their current needs. We took down a detailed shopping list of items, then bought everything at local markets. Our team of volunteers loaded up a van and drove out to the orphanage with all the supplies.

When we arrived, the children were excellent helpers and stacked all the supplies in the courtyard. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, packages of yellow noodles and white noodles, boxes of instant noodles, pork, seasonings, butter, bottles of soy sauce, cooking oil, oyster sauce, condensed milk, fresh milk, sausages, yogurt, sugar, mayonnaise, peanuts, mung beans, garlic, onions, and soap.

As a fun surprise, our team handed out comic books to all the children, who dove right in! Next, we handed out little pizza snacks for everyone to enjoy. It was so fun! Before our team left, the children introduced us to the orphanage’s new puppies.

This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Bichlien Nguyen, David Merwin, Linh Lam, Philip Doughty, and Fred Sims. Thank you!!!
