In mid-April 2020 we had a fun visit with the children at the Dai An Orphanage. With the virus in the region limiting the number of visitors the orphanage can receive, we wanted to make sure they had all the essential supplies they needed in these trying times. We coordinated with the caretakers, bought everything they requested at local markets, and drove out to the orphanage.
On this visit, we brought dried fish, dried squid, fish cakes, racks of eggs, packages of seasonings, boxes of instant noodles, diapers, and cleaning supplies.
The children gathered in the outdoor gazebo in the orphanage’s gardens and helped stack all of the supplies. As a yummy surprise, our team prepared flan with ice, and the children had lots of fun with their delicious treat. It was a lovely visit!
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly, Steven Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE
The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
