On July 21, 2018 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage with lots of essential supplies and a fun ice cream party. Thien Tam is a loving home to a small group of orphans, located to the south of Nha Trang. We contacted the caretakers to learn of the orphanage’s most pressing needs and organized a visit. We brought bags of jasmine rice, bags of sticky rice, cartons of milk, cartons of soy drinks, bottles of cooking oil, packages of cheese, cans of meat, bottles of soy sauce, packages of noodles, and cans of sardines.
After unloading all the supplies, the children performed a dance they had learned in school. As a special treat, we brought 13 cartons of ice cream and lots of cones for a fun party for the children. Everyone sat around the table and had an ice cream feast, which hit the spot of a hot summer day. After the ice cream the children helped carry the supplies inside. Our team then spent some time at the orphanage, watching the children work on computers, play chess, and other games. A fun visit!
This charity trip and ice cream party was made possible through the kind donation of Paul Phan and Trina Diep.
Thank you!!!
