This past June, the sounds of laughter and excitement filled the air as we took all the children from the Lac Thien Orphanage on an unforgettable day trip!
The local amusement park had long been a dream destination recommended by the orphanage’s dedicated nuns. Thanks to our incredible volunteers working hand-in-hand with the caretakers, we were able to bring that dream to life.
Dressed in matching t-shirts, the children spent the day exploring beautiful gardens, playing games, and splashing around in the massive children’s pool. The day wrapped up at the park’s restaurant, where everyone enjoyed a hearty, delicious meal together. It was a truly magical day spent with these amazing kids.
None of this would be possible without you. This day of pure joy was funded entirely by the generosity of Christopher Dang and an anonymous donor. Thank you for putting smiles on these children’s faces!
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Thank you!
ABOUT THE LAC THIEN ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2006, the Lac Thien Orphanage is part of the Phat Buu pagoda and lies north of Nha Trang in Ninh Hoa district. The orphanage’s origins are endearing. On a peaceful day, a baby was left at the gates of the pagoda. The nuns cared for him, and from that day on they have taken in orphan children from the area. The orphanage is run by the nuns of the pagoda and its head nun, Chon Minh. They rely entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. There are about 30 children at the orphanage, from newborns to teenagers, and Lac Thien also takes in elderly whose family cannot care for them.
