In December 2020 we had a fun Christmas party at the Nhan Ai Orphanage. We wanted to do something special for the children at Nhan Ai this holiday season and worked closely with the nuns when organizing. The children had said that their biggest wish was to have a holiday feast just for themselves. The orphanage survives on donations, so special feasts are very rare.
Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage we assist, with over 120 children in its care. First, we arranged for every child to get a Christmas present consisting of a new outfit to wear at New Year. Next, we arranged a big party in their outdoor courtyard. The feast included luxuries such as hot pots, grilled shrimp, seafood salads, drinks, and snacks. The children crowded around their tables and had a delicious meal!
This special Christmas visit was sponsored by Father John Bayer and Father Ambrose Strong on behalf of Cistercian Preparatory School. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE
Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home.
