In November 2018 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage with some essential supplies. Sunflower is a loving home to mostly teenage orphans, located in central Nha Trang. The orphanage relies on donations for survival, and when we contacted the caretakers to learn their immediate needs, they had a specific list of items. On this visit, our team brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, baby formula, cooking oil, toothpaste, soap and shampoo, and laundry detergent.
We handed out balloons and snacks to the children, who helped carry everything inside then gathered in the common room. It was fun to see the 2 littlest orphans and how quickly they are growing.
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Scott Huynh, Dane Sawmiller, Thuong Nguyen, and Daniel Cole.
