In August 2024 our team of volunteers visited the Ngoc Van Orphanage with lots of food and general supplies for the month. Each month, we reach out to the orphanage caretakers to learn which items they need. Then we do all the shopping at local markets in Nha Trang, load up a van, and make the drive out to see the children.

On this visit, the children came out to greet our team and help carry everything into the common room. We brought vegan fish sauce, soy sauce, varieties of milk, yogurt, seasonings, a thermos dish soap, diapers, and laundry detergent.

As a treat for all the little ones, we prepared sweet iced tea drinks for all to enjoy. It was a lovely day!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Long Pham, Bichlien Nguyen, Linh Lam, Vanessa Nguyen, Dao Giving Fund, and Gloria Abaidoo-Ayin. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE NGOC VAN ORPHANAGE

Located in the northern part of Khanh Hoa province, the Ngoc Van Orphanage was founded in 2020 after a big storm hit central Vietnam. There were many deaths from the storm, and several orphans were brought to the Ngoc Van Pagoda to be cared for by the monks there. Since then, the orphanage has grown and now cares for about 20 small children.
