In April 2025, we visited the Anh Dao Orphanage in Ninh Hoa, delivering a month’s worth of food and essential supplies as pre-arranged with the caretakers. We loaded a van and traveled north, receiving enthusiastic help from the children upon arrival. The younger children helped carry everything inside, while the teenagers efficiently organized and stacked the provisions.
Our delivery included a variety of staples: rice, noodles, eggs, meat, vegan meats, seafood, vegan meat pies, seaweed, mushrooms, seasonings, cooking oil, sugar, soy sauce, laundry detergent, toiletries, diapers, shampoo, and fresh fruit. A highlight was our volunteer team preparing fresh fruit slices for everyone to enjoy – a healthy and delicious snack that added to the lovely day.
This impactful visit was made possible by generous donations from Luanne Lemmer, Anh Vo, Tri Phung, Bellisa Bui, and David and Trini Nguyen. Our sincere thanks to all our sponsors!
Learn more about the Anh Dao Orphanage
Founded in 2004 by Buddhist nun Thich Nu An Son, the Anh Dao Orphanage in Ninh Hoa, about 62 kilometers north of Nha Trang, provides a loving home for a large group of orphaned children. Visitors consistently find a well-organized and joyful environment, where spending time talking and playing with the happy children is a delight. To help nourish the children and generate income, Sister An Son cultivates a small farm behind the orphanage. The fresh vegetables grown here supplement the children’s meals, and any surplus is sold to cover monthly expenses.
