We were thrilled to help fund a big project at the Nhan Ai Orphanage. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage we support, and cares for over 120 children, from newborns to teenagers. To better conserve water and prepare for droughts, the nuns planned to build a water reservoir behind one of the buildings.
Construction workers spent several months digging out a large pool, tiling it, and getting it ready to hold water for the orphanage. When it was completed, many of the children gathered next to the reservoir for pictures. The orphanage then held a celebratory feast, and cooked lots of fresh banh xeo pancakes. It was a fun party!
This wonderful project was funded through the kindhearted donations of Eamonn Gahan, Cuong Nguyen, Hung Pham, Linh Lam, KTD Services LLC, Savy Cheam, and a donor from Australia. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE
Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home.
