In April 2024 we had a terrific visit with the children at the Thien An Charity Home. We had contacted the caretakers and asked what items we should bring on our monthly visit. They provided a detailed list of food and other supplies, and we set about preparing a charity trip. Our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to Thien An.
When we arrived, the children rushed out to greet our team with big hugs. Then they helped carry all the provisions to the courtyard. Such great helpers! On this visit, we brought bottles of fish sauce, boxes of ramen, packages of sausages, packages of noodles, milk, yogurt, eggs, rice crackers, seasonings, breadcrumbs, Jello powder, chips, laundry detergent, dish soap, office supplies, and toys.
As a treat for the little ones, our team prepared bubble tea drinks for everyone. So yummy!

ABOUT THE THIEN AN CHARITY HOME AND SCHOOL
This loving place is located in the hilly countryside of Khanh Hoa province. There are very few schools in this region and illiteracy among children is high. The local Thien An Catholic Church sought to help the children complete their schooling, so started the Thien An Charity Home and School. The children have housing accommodations and receive their meals in a communal dining hall. Classrooms have been set up so the children can all receive the education they richly deserve.
