In September 2023 our team visited the Phu Quang Orphanage. It’s the start of the school year, so we brought textbooks for each child’s grade, notebooks, school supplies, and paid the children’s school fees.
We also coordinated with the nuns at the orphanage and brought lots of food and general supplies they needed for the month. These included boxes of ramen, bags of rice, milk, cooking oil, and snacks.
As a fun treat, our team of volunteers prepared a big meal for everyone at the orphanage, including bubble tea drinks. It was a lovely day!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment. Sister Thich Nu Dieu An passed away in 2023, and the orphanage is run by the nuns of the Phu Quang pagoda.
