In June 2023 we had a great visit to the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children. We had contacted the caretakers at the home ahead of time and learned what items they needed this month. Our team of volunteers in Nha Trang bought everything on the list at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to the home.
Many of the children were playing in the courtyard when we arrived. Our team greeted the children and began to stack all the provisions on the courtyard steps. On this visit, we brought boxes of ramen, dried beef, canned beef, canned pork, quail eggs, yogurt, rice crackers, yogurt drinks, seasonings, fresh fruit, snacks, and dish soap.
As a treat for the children, we handed out pudding cups for all to enjoy. It was a lovely day!

ABOUT THE HY VONG HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in the Suoi Cat district to the west of Nha Trang, the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders and disabilities whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving and caring environment for a group of amazing children.
