On October 27, 2019 we went the Thien Tam Orphanage with essential supplies and a fun visit with the children. We had contacted the caretakers and learned of the orphanage’s most pressing needs, then arranged a visit. Our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets and loaded up a van. When our team arrived, the children were doing homework in the orphanage’s classroom.
The children took a break from their studies to help unload the van the stack all the supplies on the front steps. For this visit, we brought dried shrimp, dried squid, bags of rice, racks of eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, white noodles, instant noodles, a variety of seasonings, canned meats, soy sauce, fish sauce, and cooking oil. As a treat for the children, we brought little bags of crackers, which they immediately began snacking on.
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Hanh Tong, Christine Vasko, and KTD Services LLC. Thank you!!!
