In January 2017 we visited the Song Lo Orphanage to celebrate Tet with the children and bring some necessities to the orphanage. Song Lo is a small and loving home for orphans to the west of Nha Trang. For the Vietnamese lunar new year, Tet, we wanted to bring some fun surprises to the children. We had been in touch with the nuns beforehand, and they had also requested some specific items for the orphanage. Our team arrived with general supplies including toothpaste, shampoo, washcloths, sticky rice, beans, mushrooms, and dried soy. For the Tet party, our volunteers brought fun sweets and drinks for the children, and handed out traditional red envelopes of lucky money to each orphan.
This fun visit was made possible through the kindness of the McDuffie family of the USA. Thank you!!!
