In January 2024 we had a fun visit and Tet party at the Phu Quang Orphanage. We had coordinated with the caretakers and arranged to bring our monthly supplies of food and provisions, plus do something special to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, milk, and cleaning supplies.
For Tet, we brought lots of traditional treats and sweets for all to enjoy, and the children each got a red envelope of lucky money to welcome the Year of the Dragon. There were so many smiles!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment. Sister Thich Nu Dieu An passed away in 2023, and the orphanage is run by the nuns of the Phu Quang pagoda.
