On July 12, 2015 we visited a newly-discovered orphanage for the first time, the Dai An Orphanage. Located south of Nha Trang in Cam Ranh district, our coordinators had heard of it before but never had the opportunity to visit. Set in the countryside in a lovely building, Dai An cares for about 40 young orphans.
After coordinating with the caregivers of the orphanage, our lead coordinator Ngoc, together with some friends, loaded up a van with supplies and drove out to the orphanage. At the caregivers request, we brought baby formula, diapers, school books, school supplies, condensed milk, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and body wash, cleaning liquid, and donated clothes. To make the day special for the children, we also brought lots of toys.
It was a very fun visit, and the children immediately dove into the toys. This trip was made possible by JL Support Services. Thank you!
We look forward to more visits to this wonderful place!
