This May, our team had the wonderful pleasure of returning to the Song Lo Orphanage to deliver our monthly allocation of essential food and daily supplies.
Our day began early at the local markets, where our team hand-selected fresh goods and loaded up our delivery van. Our goal each month is simple: ensure the children and their wonderful caretakers have everything they need to thrive in the weeks ahead.
What We Delivered This Month
Thanks to a thoughtful, nutrition-focused shopping list, we were able to provide a wide variety of healthy foods and essential hygiene products:
- Nutritious Proteins & Staples: Tofu sheets, varieties of mushrooms, beans, a selection of nuts, packages of noodles, milk, flour, rice paper, and hearty vegan options including vegan meats, meat pies, and sausages.
- Pantry Essentials: Seasonings, peanut butter, packages of soup, and sugar.
- Hygiene & Care Supplies: Fabric softener, napkins, toothpaste, and soothing Tiger Balm.
Cooling Off and Having Fun!
It was a beautifully warm May day, which called for a perfect afternoon surprise! The caretakers brought out the orphanage’s stand-up pool, and the children had an absolute blast splashing around, playing with the hose, and cooling off from the summer heat. Seeing their bright smiles and hearing their laughter reminded us all of the pure joy of childhood.
