In celebration of the Lunar New Year (Tet in Vietnam), we made visits to all our causes. It is the biggest holiday of the year in Vietnam, and there are many lovely traditions that we wanted all the children to enjoy. Prices for everyday items also skyrocket during the holiday season, which can be a burden for many families.

The children at the Kim Son Charity School come from poor families, and we worked closely with the nuns at Kim Son to provide the children and their families something special for Tet. In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we arranged for each child to receive a box of instant noodles, a bag of rice, soy sauce, seasonings, snacks, blankets, and new outfits to wear for the new year. It was a lovely visit!

This special holiday visit was made possible through the kindhearted donation of Betty Lam. Thank you!!!

This wonderful organization offers free primary school education at their charity school, plus free sewing skills training at their free vocational school for those who live in Vinh Luong ward, 15 kilometers north of Nha Trang. Founded at the Kim Son Pagoda  in 1994 by the Buddhist nun Thich Nu Dieu Phuc, it has long been a loving source of education for local youngsters. There are classrooms which grades 1 to 5 split in morning and afternoon shifts, and another room with donated sewing machines for those who want to learn tailoring skills. All the children are from poor families, and the school exists through the kindness of donations.
