In June 2022 we brought lots of food and essential supplies to the Phu Quang Orphanage. We work closely with the nuns at the orphanage to ensure the children have everything they need. This month, we received a detailed list of items the orphanage was running low on, so we arranged to have everything delivered right to their doors. The children were excellent helpers and carried everything into the main common room.
This month we brought bags of rice, boxes of instant noodles, packages of vegan pho, bottles of cooking oil, dish soap, and laundry detergent. There were also lots of yummy snacks for the children.
This charity trip was made possible through donations from Katherine Tran and Fred Sims. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment.
