In October 2023 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage with lots of food for the month. After speaking to the orphanage caretakers, we made a detailed list of items they needed for our monthly visit. Our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to see the children.
When we arrived, everyone pitched in and helped stack all the provisions on a table in the courtyard. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, sweet rice, boxes of ramen, varieties of fish and meats, bottles of cooking oil and soy sauce, milk, yogurt, sugar, seasonings, rice paper, fresh vegetables, shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent, cleaning products, and dish soap.
As a yummy treat for the children, our team handed out bubble tea drinks for all. It was a great day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for a small group of adolescents.
