Our July 2026 visit to Lac Thien Orphanage was filled with warm smiles and essential support. By working closely with the orphanage team beforehand, we ensured that our delivery provided exactly what was needed to keep their kitchen well-stocked and the facility running smoothly.
When our volunteers arrived with a van full of supplies, several children were busy studying in the homework room. Seeing the delivery, they eagerly took a break to help us stack all the goods in the main courtyard!
What We Delivered This Month
Thanks to our direct coordination with staff, we were able to deliver a comprehensive mix of kitchen staples and everyday essentials:
- Pantry Staples: 50-kilo bags of rice, boxes of instant noodles, cooking oil, sugar, milk, powdered milk, standard seasonings, and mushroom seasoning.
- Care & Cleaning Supplies: Diapers, washing liquid, and air fresheners.
A Sweet Treat to End the Day
To make the afternoon extra special, our team handed out juice boxes and snacks to all the children. It didn’t take long for the playground to fill with laughter as the kids enjoyed their treats together in the sun!

ABOUT THE LAC THIEN ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2006, the Lac Thien Orphanage is part of the Phat Buu pagoda and lies north of Nha Trang in Ninh Hoa district. The orphanage’s origins are endearing. On a peaceful day, a baby was left at the gates of the pagoda. The nuns cared for him, and from that day on they have taken in orphan children from the area. The orphanage is run by the nuns of the pagoda and its head nun, Chon Minh. They rely entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. There are about 30 children at the orphanage, from newborns to teenagers, and Lac Thien also takes in elderly whose family cannot care for them.
