On June 15, 2019 we visited the Lac Thien Orphanage with essential supplies, gifts for the children, and gifts for displaced elderly who live at the orphanage. Located in Ninh Hoa to the north of Nha Trang, Lac Thien is a loving home to a large group of orphans. There are a number of orphan babies at Lac Thien, and the orphanage also takes in elderly whose family cannot care for them. We contacted the nuns at Lac Thien and learned of their most pressing needs. We did all the shopping, loaded up a truck, and made the 1-hour drive to the orphanage.
For essential supplies, we brought elderly dietary supplements and toiletries, packages of cheese, boxes of milk, racks of eggs, yogurt, packages of pork, diapers, detergent and cleaning products, toiletries, buckets, pans, blankets, toys, and snacks. We presented the elderly residents at the orphanage with their own gifts and handed out toys and snacks to the children. The orphans snacked on their yogurt and played with the toys in the common room. It was a very fun visit!
This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Scott Huynh and Michelle Nguyen.
Thank you!!!
