This June, our team had the absolute joy of visiting the wonderful children and caretakers at Thien An Charity Home. To make sure our visit created the biggest impact possible, we collaborated closely with the home’s caretakers ahead of time to build a checklist of their most urgent daily needs. Thanks to that list, our team hit the local markets, loaded up a van to the brim, and set off to see the kids!

A Warm Welcome & Essential Supplies

When we arrived, the playground was buzzing with energy and laughter. As the kids played, our team got to work unloading a massive haul of essential provisions to keep the home running smoothly.

Thanks to your generosity, this month we were able to deliver:

  • Kitchen Staples: Rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and seasonings.
  • Quick Meals & Treats: Vermicelli noodles, instant pho, sausages, milk, snacks, and rice cakes.
  • Hygiene & Care Items: Laundry detergent, garbage bags, floor cleaner, and hair ties.

End-of-School Celebrations

Since it’s the end of the school year, we wanted to make the day extra special. The little ones were treated to end-of-year gifts to take home, and we cooled off from the June heat with plenty of popsicles. The smiles said it all!

Thank You to Our Community

None of this would be possible without our incredible community of donors Steven Burger, Nicole Londt, and Tri Phung. Your support directly brings comfort, nutrition, and joy to these children. Thank you for making a difference!

ABOUT THE THIEN AN CHARITY HOME

This loving place is located in the hilly countryside of Khanh Hoa province. There are very few daycare facilities in this region and illiteracy among children is high. The local Thien An Catholic Church sought to help the children complete get a head start on their schooling, so started the Thien An Charity Home as a daycare and kindergarten for youngsters. The children are cared for during the day and receive free meals in a communal dining hall. There’s playground equipment and classrooms so the children can all receive the education they richly deserve.
