On April 11, 2016 we made a visit to the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage. The charity school at Loc Tho offers free primary schooling through accredited teachers to youngsters who cannot afford the costs of public schooling. These costs include buying uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, and paying school fees. Loc Tho has become very popular over the years, and now has over 100 students. In addition to the primary school, the Loc Tho pagoda also takes in orphans, and currently cares for 30 orphans, including a baby who was recently left at the pagoda’s gates.
On this visit, we brought lots of healthy food supplements for the children, sponsored by the continued kindness of Lloyd and Esther. We also brought toys, a new cabinet, clothes, and diapers, sponsored by JL Support Services.
